The following Rules are intended for your Safety and Enjoyment.
This is a private range and may be used only under the terms of these safety rules and any other regulations that may be issued. Failure to abide by these rules may affect your insurance liability coverage and/or your club Membership. Members must ensure their guests sign the range log book.
Everyone using this range MUST be a club MEMBER in good standing or the invited guest of a MEMBER. Spectators may be invited on range property by OWF members but must not shoot. A MEMBER is allowed a maximum of two (2) shooting guests per day.
All persons using the range must obey the range rules AND directions of the Range Officer. THE RANGE OFFICER’S AUTHORITY IS ABSOLUTE.
Anyone under the age of 19 years must be supervised by an Adult Member. The supervisor, who is not the parent, must have written consent of the parent or guardian.
Individual Members may use the range for informal shooting practice without supervision of a Range Officer. If more than one MEMBER is using the range, one of those MEMBERS must act as Ranger Officer by mutual agreement.
RANGE LIGHTS must be displayed when the rifle range is in use.
1. RED LIGHT means; Shooting is in progress and no one may move forward of the shooting positions
2. GREEN LIGHT means; A cease-fire is in effect, the range is safe and anyone may move forward of the shooting positions.
When anyone is forward of the shooting position all firearms must be removed from the shoot bench, unloaded with the actions opened and everyone must stand clear of the shooting positions.
Eye and hearing protection is recommended at all times.
Consumption of alcohol is prohibited.
Always point firearms in a safe direction.
Shoot only from designated positions & at paper targets mounted on target holders or range steel targets.
Do not fire shotguns on the pistol range or at rifle target boards.
Report any problems to the president or vice-president of the club.
Please leave the range in a clean and tidy condition.
Never burn anything when a Provincial campfire ban is in effect.
Do NOT leave food scraps behind. It attracts mice and packrats.
Ensure you have all required firearms licenses & registrations.
Please sign range log book and lock the gate when you leave.
